What a full-on start to Term 4! It’s always a bit of a juggle getting back into routines, but the smiles, chatter, and laughter in class let me know we’re well on our way. Everyone was so happy to see their friends again after the break.
This week, we also celebrated Fijian Language Week (Macawa ni Vosa Vakaviti). The 2025 theme is:
“Na noqu vosa: me na tekivu mai vale”
which means “My language: Starts at home”
Each class had the challenge of designing its own masi (traditional Fijian tapa cloth) to reflect its unique style, patterns, or symbols that represent our connection to language, culture, and home. It was fantastic to see the creativity, effort, and pride students put into their work..
It’s been a joyful and creative start to the term — filled with smiles, learning, and connection.
Vinaka vaka levu to everyone for a fantastic first week back!
